How does an ATM work?

When a customer uses an ATM and their card is inserted, the ATM connects directly with our switch that connects to the banking network. Once connected the ATM sends the card and transaction information to the card issuing bank to verify that funds are available; the bank accepts or declines the transaction and if accepted, the cash is dispensed from the ATM. All funds withdrawn from the ATM are withdrwan from the cardholder's account and automatically deposited into your nominated bank account within one to two business days.

Who will install the ATM?

A company representative will provide a local trained technical engineer to handle the ATM set up, phone line installation (if required), ATM configuration, maintenance, monitoring and merchant support.  This is all provided at no cost.

How long after ordering an ATM will it be operational?

It usually takes up to 4 weeks from the receipt of the order.  Once the ATM has arrived, the installation and training will happen almost immediately.

What are my responsibilities as the site owner?

Prior to installation, an area must be cleared and a  grounded 240 volt power point with surge protection made available.  You will also be responsible for maintaining insurance cover for the ATM.  The ATM is no different to any other piece of equipment in your business and merely needs to be added to your contents insurance.

Will I need a dedicated phone line for the ATM?

Your ATM site may be able to be set up with wireless connectivity and therefore a phone line may not be required.  However, if a phone line is required, we will secure the line and install it at no cost and pay for all related expenses.  When we say free ATM placement, we mean free placement!

What type of cards does the ATM accept?

The ATM is a "multi card" ATM and will accept most legitimate, pin-based local, regional and international cards.

Who provides the maintenance on the ATM? For how long and at what cost?

We provide maintenance for the duration of the ATM Placement Agreement, seven days a week.  This service is provided at no added cost.

Who is responsible for loading money into the ATM?

Typically, you are responsible for loading cash into the ATM (refer link to flyer). However, we know that this is not possible in some cases, so if you require a third party to provide cash replenishment services, our staff would be more than happy to discuss the various options available to you

How do I get my money back?

If you replenish the cash in the ATM yourself, the funds withdrawn from the ATM will settle into your nominated bank account within one business day.  We recommend that you establish a seperate bank account for funds to be credited to your nominated account.

How secure is the cash in my ATM?

All ATMs installed by our company meet Australian Security Standards and these standards ensure that the cash is securely stored within the device via a secure safe.  Further, the transactions are conducted via secure encryption and the ATMs are securely affixed to the floor of your premises during the installation phase.  As your cash is being placed in a secure safe, it is able to be insured, unlike the cash in your till.  Talk to your insurance broker.

How often will I receive reports on the transactions at my ATM?

You will receive daily, weekly and monthly reports on the transactions and can also login via our secure website to monitor the transactions at your ATM.

How much does the ATM cost me?

Nothing! We will provide the ATM and install for you completely free of change.

Are there additional charges ?

No.  There are no additional statement, monthly or transaction fees or any hidden charges.

What happens if there is a problem with the machine?

Should your machine have a technical fault, we urge you to contact us immediately so we can rectify the problem in the shortest time possible.

What happens if someone does not receive the right money

Although rare, this can happen.  The customer needs to contact their financial institution who will request an investigation.  Under no circumstance should you give a customer may not get it back!

Where should the ATM be located?

We can assist you to place the ATM in the best possible position.  We recommend a highly visible, secure and easily accessible area for all customers.
